About Selma

Hi! I’m Selma, a native French speaker and a student in the World Bachelor in Business program, a global degree across USC (Los Angeles), Bocconi University (Milan), and HKUST (Hong Kong). I got 20/20 in French on the Bac, and I speak French, English, Italian, and Arabic. Having studied in both the French system and the American/international system, I really understand what it’s like to navigate different approaches to learning. I adapt my lessons to each student, whether you need help preparing for an exam, improving your writing, or just feeling more confident speaking. I’m friendly, structured, and I genuinely enjoy helping people progress in French, no matter their level.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Selma – Native French Speaker & 20/20 Bac Graduate Offering Personalized Lessons I grew up in the French school system and earned a perfect 20/20 in French on the Baccalauréat, so I know exactly what’s expected at every level — and how to help you get there. Whether you're working toward an exam, improving your written French, or just want to feel more comfortable speaking, I offer lessons that are tailored to your needs and learning style. How I Teach My lessons focus on clarity, structure, and confidence. I believe in building a solid foundation — grammar, vocabulary, syntax — but always through practical use. Expect a mix of exercises, conversation, reading, writing, and listening work, depending on what you’re aiming for. I use real texts and examples to keep things relevant and engaging, not just textbook drills. What a Lesson Looks Like We’ll start each session by checking in — what’s been going well, what needs more work. Then we’ll focus on a specific skill or topic: that might be preparing for a written exam, working on oral fluency, or reviewing grammar in context. I always leave space at the end for feedback and questions, and I’ll give you clear takeaways to build on between lessons. What Makes Me Different - Native speaker that understands French as it’s actually used - Scored 20/20 in French on the Bac — I know how to excel in the system - I’ve worked with students at all levels, from beginners to native French speakers - Lessons are always adapted to you — your goals, your pace, your challenges - I aim to make every session feel clear, useful, and motivating Who I Work With - Middle school, high school, and university students (including Bac/Brevet prep) - International students adjusting to French academic standards - Adults looking to improve their written or spoken French - Anyone who wants structured, thoughtful, and supportive French lessons If you're looking for a tutor who understands both the language and how it’s taught — and who genuinely wants to help you succeed — I’d love to work with you.
