About Camille
Hi! I'm thrilled to be your French tutor. I'm a native French speaker, I was born in France and spent the first 14 years of my life there before moving to the United States. Even after the move, I stayed deeply immersed in the language by attending a French high school here in the US, where I completed the International French Baccalaureate and graduated with the highest distinction, très bien.
Throughout high school, I tutored fellow students in French, and that passion for teaching only grew when I went on to study at Vanderbilt University, where I continued tutoring through the Center for Languages. So whether you're a complete beginner or looking to polish your skills, you're in great hands!

I have worked with all levels and ages of students, from younger students building French foundations or preparing for a test, to adults preparing for a trip.
When we first meet, we can discuss your goals and plan ahead on the skills you want to work on most, and I will also assess what techniques we should focus on. I customize lesson plans for each student, because not everyone is starting from the same place.
I use a mix of exercises but I know that the best way to learn is immersion and hearing and speaking the language yourself. Whether you want a more conversational approach to the lessons or a sharper focus on grammar and syntax, I can adapt for you.
