About Aline
Hi! I am Aline and I come from the French speaking part of Belgium. I hold a Translation Master's Degree and a certification from the Alliance Française to teach French as a foreign language. I love travelling, I lived in India for 3 years, in Paris for 3 years and I now live in Denver, CO, USA.

When teaching languages, it is essential to keep in mind their primary functions: communicate… and act !
Learning a language is about being able, as a social actor, to accomplish a task in a given environment at a certain time in the target language.
I therefore prioritize the task-based approach that will enable you to communicate and act in “real life” according to your needs.
My lessons are fun, based on real-life material, varied, creative and dynamic. You'll learn about all aspects of the language (speaking -and phonetics-, listening, reading and writing) and also about French and Belgian sociocultural codes.
Conversation classes are also available if you have an intermediate or advanced level and want to improve your speaking skills.
Focus will be put on you and you will actively participate in your learning. My role, as a teacher, is to help you build your learning by giving you the keys to succeed, by being positive and reassuring. No boring grammar rules to memorize; you’ll learn them in an implicit and deductive way, which will help you to easily remember them.

Perfect! Aline is such a competent and friendly tutor! After just one lesson she was able to both assess my level of French and effectively create a plan so I can continue making progress. She is also patient and explains things very well.
