About Valerie
Helping students grow academically and personally is both a responsibility and a privilege that motivates me to teach. I began teaching in England when my youngest child started nursery, initially because I wanted to share the same holidays as my boys. What I expected to be a temporary role quickly became something much more, as I discovered a genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s learning. I found deep fulfilment in the classroom, and what started as a practical decision grew into a meaningful and lasting career that I truly love. Today, I tutor children and adults of all ages, both in person and online, tailoring my approach to meet each learner’s unique needs. I also work alongside my golden retriever, Marley, to support children with special educational needs. Together, we create positive learning experiences at home and at school, building confidence, connection, and a love of learning.

I help students improve their French skills, build confidence, and prepare successfully for exams. I offer personalised lessons online or face-to-face, adapted to each learner’s needs and goals.
