About Margaux

Back in France, I studied Political Science for six years. Tutoring and giving English lessons to French people enabled me to finance my studies partly.
After graduating with my master's degree, I travelled worldwide and interned in different countries for not-for-profits and the United Nations.
Now that I am settled in Australia, I love to share the beauty of my native language with locals and transmit my passion for learning new languages. Working at the French Alliance in the CBD has been a great pleasure, and I wish to extend this positive experience with private tutoring as well!

About the lesson

I value holistic approaches when it comes to teaching. Being trilingual myself, I know that learning a new language highly challenges your brain. I aim to help you get excited about the process and nurture your enthusiasm.

I usually start by familiarising myself with your interests and build the lessons from there. e.g. if you feel passionate about Acting, I would print the French scripts of your favourite movies and organise weekly interactions.
I like my students to feel empowered. Feeling free to share your ideas on how to improve your learning experience is crucial.

Stimulating the brain daily is the best way to master a language, I usually give my students 5-minute exercises they can do every day at home.
Needless to say, my methods vary according to your level and your age. Should you need further information, you can contact me anytime.
I am also trained to help students taking the VCE exams.

Perfect! Margaux is a fantastic teacher. She has the knowledge and the patience needed and understands the difficulties people might have learning a second language. She is funny and lets you go at you own pace, with a gentle nudge in the right direction. I was worried about starting French as I am in my 50s and have never tried to learn a language before, but Margaux has put me at ease and makes my goal of learning French seem achievable.
