• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I was born in Algeria, where Arabic was my first language. At the age of 12, my life took a major turn when I moved to France. At that time, I spoke very little French, and the transition was incredibly challenging, not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. I quickly realized that mastering the language was essential, not only to succeed in school but also to find my place in a new environment.
  
  Through hard work and a deep curiosity for learning, I was able to learn French in a remarkably short time. Over the years, it has become so natural to me that today, I proudly consider French as a second native language. This personal journey gave me a profound appreciation for the role that language plays in our lives: it is much more than just a means of communication; it is a bridge to new cultures, ideas, and opportunities.
  
  Experiencing firsthand how language can open doors inspired me to help others on their own journeys. I understand what it feels like to start from scratch, to struggle with new sounds and unfamiliar expressions. I also know the joy and confidence that come when you finally feel at home in a new language. This is why I chose to dedicate myself to tutoring and teaching French: to empower my students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed, just as I once had to do.

• What makes you passionate about your subject (Français)?

  French is much more than a language to me. What makes me passionate about it is the richness and depth hidden behind every word, every expression. It is a language that can be both incredibly precise and beautifully poetic.
  
  Because I had to learn French through total immersion at a young age, I developed a very special connection to it. I saw firsthand how mastering a language can change someone's life: opening new doors, building confidence, and allowing deeper connections with others. French, in particular, carries centuries of literature, philosophy, art, and culture within it. Teaching French means not only teaching grammar and vocabulary, but also sharing a rich cultural heritage that brings people closer to one another.
  
  I also love how French reflects the interconnectedness of cultures. Many French words have roots in Latin, Arabic and other languages, reminding us that languages evolve together, and that human history is a shared journey. Through teaching, I have the privilege to guide my students through this beautiful world, helping them discover the joy of expression and the pride of understanding another culture deeply.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Tutoring is a very human experience. Every student is unique, and I love creating personalized lessons that fit their specific goals, whether it's preparing for the TEF/TCF, completing an assignment, or simply feeling more confident when speaking French. What makes me a "Superprof" is my patience, my adaptability, and my commitment to my students' success. I believe in building a positive, motivating environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  Absolutely. I will always remember Madame Zireg, my French teacher in high school, who had a major influence on my passion for the language. Through her classes in theater, poetry, and literature, she taught me to go beyond the words - to seek the meaning behind them, to explore their historical roots, and to connect with the culture they represent. She also helped me realize that many words and expressions across languages share common origins, reflecting how different cultures are deeply interconnected. Her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge continue to shape the way I teach today, encouraging my students to see language as a bridge between people and histories.

• What are your keys to success?

  For me, success comes down to three key elements: consistency, empathy, and encouragement.
  
  Consistency helps students make steady progress.
  Empathy allows me to truly understand where a student struggles and how to best support them.
  Encouragement motivates students to believe in themselves and their abilities, even when the learning journey feels challenging.
