About Yoann
Salut! I’m Yoann.
My background is a bit unconventional: I spent 5 years in the French military, working in IT, followed by a career as a developer in the civilian world. Today, I’m based in Asia, ever since my partner "kidnapped" me and brought me back to her home country.
Living in Asia also helps me understand your challenges. I know firsthand what it’s like to learn a foreign language and adapt to a new culture.

My approach is simple:
• Zero stress on note-taking: I won't interrupt you every 10 seconds to fix minor slips, as I want you to build confidence and keep your flow. Instead, I note down your mistakes and new vocabulary as you speak. We then review these together at the end of the session so you can learn to self-correct. You receive this clean "debug report" after the class to review at your own pace.
• Real-world adaptation: If you’re learning for work, we’ll talk business. If it’s for a trip to France, we’ll simulate real-life situations. We focus on what is most useful to you.
My priority is making the student feel confident. Making you actually want to speak French is the fastest way to get better.

To make our sessions interactive and efficient, I use various digital resources tailored to your goals:
• Custom Success Logs: Text documents and PDFs created during our lessons so you don't have to take notes.
• Media Integration: Articles, news, and video files to practice with "real-world" French.
• Active Listening: Audio files and podcasts to sharpen your ear for different accents.
• Interactive Review: Quizzes and homework assignments to consolidate what we’ve learned.
