About Clémence

Hello everyone! My name is Clémence, I’m French, and I’m thrilled to soon share my passion for languages with you as your new French tutor! From the age of five, I’ve grown up and traveled in many countries—France, Scandinavia, Australia, Latin America, and across Europe—which fueled my love for languages, cultures, and communication. Along the way, I’ve learned English, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, German, and Portuguese—some of them entirely self-taught. These experiences taught me that languages are much more than words: they’re doors to new cultural worlds, stories, and ways of thinking. I’ve had the privilege of giving personalized lessons, both online and in person, to children and adults, in groups or one-on-one. These experiences allowed me to develop innovative teaching techniques tailored to each student’s learning style. In my classes, I don’t just teach vocabulary or grammar rules—I help students truly understand the language and the culture behind it. With me, you’ll practice speaking, explore expressions, traditions, and cultural references, and learn to immerse yourself in the language so it feels natural and alive. If you love history, travel, culture, and music as much as I do, get ready to explore French in a fun, enriching, and inspiring way! My goal is simple: not just to help you learn, but to truly understand the language, so you can use it confidently in any situation—and, hopefully, fall in love with it as much as I have.

About the lesson

My classes are designed for all ages and levels: whether it’s school support, college prep, professional purposes, living abroad, or international exams like the DELF. As a self-taught language enthusiast who has spent half of my life abroad, I’ve developed a lively, personalized approach that adapts to each student’s needs. My teaching goes beyond grammar and vocabulary—it opens the door to a rich and fascinating cultural universe. With me, you’ll not only learn to use the language with confidence, but also explore the history, culture, and people who shaped it over time. My method includes: hands-on creative projects, role-playing and interactive exercises, authentic materials (articles, videos, podcasts…), and a special focus on speaking, so you can communicate naturally and confidently. Plus, I’m happy to adapt to any other tools, ideas, or interests you bring to the table! A typical lesson follows a clear yet flexible structure: Quick assessment of your current level Introduction of the topic of the day Practical activities and interactive discussion Wrap-up to consolidate learning My goal is simple: help you make real progress while keeping learning fun, with a method that goes beyond traditional school approaches. Learning a language is great… but truly understanding it is even better!
