About Chrysoula
My name is Chrysoula, and I am a native Greek speaker from Pella, Greece – the land of history, culture, and Alexander the Great! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Philology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I specialized in the Greek language, literature, and teaching methodology. I am currently based in Perth, Australia, where I teach Modern Greek at St Andrew’s Grammar, a multicultural school. I also tutor students of all ages through private lessons, both in person and online. Teaching is not just my profession – it’s my passion. I believe language learning should be an engaging, creative, and enjoyable experience. That’s why my lessons are always adapted to each learner’s needs, whether they are: Children starting their first words in Greek, Teenagers preparing for exams, Adults wanting conversational skills, or Heritage learners reconnecting with their culture. I bring energy, patience, and cultural richness into every lesson. My goal is to help my students feel confident, motivated, and inspired to use Greek in real-life contexts.

Hello! My name is Chrysoula, and I am a native Greek speaker from Pella, Greece. In my lessons, I aim to make learning interactive, fun, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you are: a beginner who wants to learn the basics step by step, a heritage learner who wishes to connect with family and culture, a traveler preparing for a trip to Greece, or a student who needs structured academic support, …I adapt my teaching style to match your goals and learning preferences. My approach combines: Speaking practice (everyday dialogues, role-plays, conversations) Grammar & vocabulary in context (not just memorization) Cultural insights (traditions, music, food, history) Creative and engaging activities (games, storytelling, songs) I use a variety of resources (texts, visuals, worksheets, and digital tools) to keep lessons lively and effective. My aim is to help you not only learn Greek but also enjoy the journey.
