About Alis

I’m Alice, a native Italian speaker originally from Milan, Italy, now based in Nashville. I’m a professional artist and musician, and I speak Italian, English, Spanish, and German. I love connecting with people from different cultures and sharing my language and Italian culture. I’m friendly, patient, and easygoing, and I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and enjoying the learning process.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is friendly, practical, and personalized. I believe the best way to learn a language is to actually use it, so I focus on helping students feel comfortable speaking Italian from the very beginning.

Lessons can include conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening exercises, and real-life situations. I adapt each lesson to the student's level and goals, whether you want to learn Italian for travel, connect with your Italian heritage, prepare for a trip to Italy, communicate with Italian friends or family, or simply learn a new language.

A typical lesson starts with a short conversation or warm-up, followed by the main topic or skill we are working on. We then practice through conversation, examples, and exercises, with corrections and explanations along the way. I like to keep lessons interactive rather than relying only on traditional textbooks.

What sets me apart is that I am a native Italian speaker from Milan and also an artist living and working in the United States. I can bring Italian language and culture into our lessons in a natural and engaging way, including music, food, travel, traditions, everyday expressions, and contemporary Italian life.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, and can be adapted to both adults and younger learners. No previous knowledge of Italian is required!
