About SOL
My journey as an educator started back in university when I first began giving private lessons.
Since then, I've gained years of valuable experience teaching at various music and English academies. Even after moving to the US, I've kept my passion alive by continuing my private tutoring practice here.
Along the way, I've also had the wonderful opportunity to teach Korean to students at a Korean-American church and through private lessons.
I love teaching. Seeing my students grow and achieve their goals is what drives me every day. Let's learn, grow, and have fun together!

Are you looking for a fun, structured, and encouraging way to learn Korean? You've come to the right place!
I am a native Korean speaker, but I also have a unique background: I am a certified music teacher with over 20 years of experience giving private piano and classical voice lessons. Through my own journey of learning English, I made a fascinating discovery-learning a language is incredibly similar to learning a musical instrument! Both require training your ears, patient repetition, consistent practice, and finding the right rhythm.
We can also dive into your favorite K-dramas, K-pop lyrics, or Korean culture to make learning exciting!
