About Michael

My name is Michael, and I bring both professionalism and creativity into my English lessons. I graduated from Youngstown State University in Ohio with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in English. I currently work in marketing, which gives me daily experience with clear, effective communication in both professional and casual settings. Outside of work, I love reading classic literature, and I often draw from stories and texts to make lessons richer and more engaging. This background allows me to connect language learning to real culture, helping students gain both fluency and confidence. Whether you are a young learner wanting to practice everyday English or a professional aiming to improve communication at work, my goal is to create lessons that are supportive, practical, and tailored to your needs.

About the lesson

I teach English in a relaxed, down-to-earth way, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and everyday language you’ll actually use. My lessons mix conversation, reading, and fun activities, so you get comfortable speaking naturally in both casual and professional settings.

With a background in cultural anthropology and English studies from Youngstown State University, I bring culture into the classroom to make learning more real and engaging. Acho que o Michael é um professor muito confiável porque ele é paciente e realmente se importa em ver os alunos progredindo. Ele é inteligente e sempre encontra um jeito leve e criativo de explicar as coisas. Quando comecei, eu até tinha vocabulário, mas travava na hora de falar, e foi ele quem me ajudou a destravar o inglês. Ele é muito proativo e está sempre disposto a ajudar, até mesmo com o inglês jurídico da faculdade. Com ele, eu me senti confiante e sempre muito apoiada.

I think Michael is a very reliable teacher because he is patient and really cares about seeing his students progress. He is intelligent and always finds a light-hearted and creative way to explain things. When I started, I had some vocabulary, but I would freeze up when it came time to speak, and he was the one who helped me unlock my English. He is very proactive and always willing to help, even with legal English for university. With him, I felt confident and always very supported.
