About Phoebe
I am a native Mandarin speaker who grew up in China, with over five years of teaching experience working with students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning goals.
I am passionate about sharing the richness and beauty of the Mandarin language through teaching. I truly believe Mandarin is a beautiful language, and I love helping students enjoy learning it and connect with its depth and culture.

My teaching is student-centered and flexible. I focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation and structure early on, helping students feel confident from the start.
I like to incorporate cultural elements into my teaching by explaining the stories behind words or even individual characters, which makes lessons more engaging and the language more relatable. I adapt each class to the student’s level, goals, and learning pace.
My background in Chinese art history allows me to naturally connect language learning with culture and literature. Lessons are suitable for learners of all levels, especially those interested in Chinese culture and humanities.
