About Esther
Hello! I'm Esther, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan.
I'm a professional conference interpreter working in Mandarin, English and French. Over the past six years, I've worked with international organisations and global companies across a wide range of industries. My career has given me a deep appreciation for languages, communication and the cultural nuances that make each language unique.
Having studied and worked in multilingual environments, I understand both the challenges and the rewards of learning a foreign language.
I'm passionate about sharing my language and culture with others, and I believe that learning Mandarin should be an enjoyable, engaging and rewarding experience.
Whether you're preparing for your GCSE exams or learning Mandarin out of curiosity, I'd love to help you build your confidence and discover the richness of the Chinese language!

My lessons are interactive, structured and tailored to each student's needs, whether you're preparing for your GCSE Mandarin exams (Edexcel or AQA) or simply looking to improve your Chinese.
My teaching approach
For GCSE students, lessons are designed around the exam specifications, with a focus on the four key skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. We will work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and exam-style questions, while identifying areas that need extra attention.
What to expect

- GCSE exam preparation for both Foundation and Higher tiers

As a professional conference interpreter working between Mandarin, English and French, I bring a strong understanding of languages and cross-cultural communication to my teaching.
My goal is to help students not only achieve good exam results, but also develop the confidence to use Mandarin beyond the classroom.
