Hello! My name is Yuxin. I am a native Mandarin speaker currently pursuing my Master of Statistics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

My Teaching Approach
As a Mathematics graduate and current Master of Statistics student at UNSW, I bring a unique, logical, and highly structured approach to learning Mandarin. I understand that for many, Chinese can seem like a puzzle. My goal is to help you decode that puzzle using clear patterns and systematic methods.
My Teaching Methodology:
Logical Breakdown: I don't just ask you to "memorize." We treat grammar and sentence structures like formulas—once you understand the logic behind them, you can build your own sentences with confidence.
The "Scaffolded" Learning: We start with a strong foundation in Pinyin and tones using visual aids, then gradually layer in vocabulary and complex expressions.
Real-World Application: Whether you want to talk to your Chinese friends, travel, or prepare for business meetings, I tailor our materials to the topics that matter to you.
Lesson Structure
Typical Duration: I usually recommend 60-minute sessions to maintain high focus, but I am happy to accommodate 90-minute lessons for intensive learners.
Interactive Style: Each class is a mix of 30% structured theory and 70% active speaking and listening practice. You will be speaking Mandarin from Day 1!
