About Bu
Hello! My name is Yang Bu, and I am a native Mandarin speaker from China. I am currently a second-year Education student at the University of Manchester in the UK, and I achieved an A in A-Level Chinese. I am passionate about languages and education, and I enjoy helping others learn Mandarin. I want to create a relaxed, friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practising Chinese. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some knowledge of Mandarin, I will tailor my lessons to your individual needs and goals. I can help you improve your pronunciation, speaking, vocabulary and everyday communication skills, while also introducing you to Chinese culture. I look forward to helping you build your confidence in Mandarin!

I use personalised, interactive and practical teaching methods to make learning Mandarin enjoyable, engaging and useful in real-life situations. Lessons are available in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions and can be tailored to each student’s goals, interests and language level. I am a native Mandarin speaker and currently studying Education at the University of Manchester. I achieved an A* in A-Level Chinese and have experience teaching students in China. I can help learners improve their speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary and everyday communication skills, while also introducing them to Chinese culture. My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels, including complete beginners.
