About Ada
Hello! I'm a native Chinese speaker from Qingdao, China, with a Master's degree in Materials Science and over 5 years of experience teaching Chinese as a foreign language. I lived in Europe for 4 years, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language in a new culture — and I speak fluent English, which makes communication easy from day one. I'm patient, organized and genuinely passionate about teaching. Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for exams, my goal is simple: to help you learn Chinese with confidence and joy. Let's start your Chinese journey together!

My lessons are practical, interactive and built around your personal goals.
Teaching method: I believe you learn Chinese by using it, not just memorizing it. I combine clear, logical explanations with lots of guided speaking practice, using images, rhythm drills, real-life scenarios and role-play to make every lesson engaging.
A typical 60-minute lesson: we start with a quick warm-up conversation and review; then I introduce new vocabulary and grammar through dialogues and visual materials; the main part is guided practice — drills, role-play and scenario simulations where you do most of the talking; we finish with a short summary and a small assignment to lock in what you learned.
What sets me apart: a materials-science background that gives me a structured, logical way of breaking down difficult points; over 5 years of experience with learners of all ages; and 4 years living in Europe, so I truly understand the challenges of learning a language across cultures — and I explain everything in fluent English.
Who my lessons are for: complete beginners, HSK and AP exam candidates, business professionals, children, and travelers preparing for a trip to China.
