About Aida
Hi, I'm Aida! I'm a native Slovak speaker based in Slovakia, and I love helping people learn to speak Slovak with real confidence.
My approach is topic-first: rather than drilling grammar rules on their own, we build lessons around practical, everyday topics — travel, daily life, work, food — and pick up the grammar and vocabulary naturally as we go, the way you'd actually need it in real conversation.
I've taught learners ranging from complete beginners to more advanced conversational levels, both one-on-one and in small groups, so lessons are always tailored to where you're starting from and what you want to achieve.
Alongside Slovak, I also teach English and have a strong command of Czech, so I'm comfortable explaining things from a few different angles if that helps things click.
I'm patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy sharing the Slovak language and culture. Whether you're learning for travel, family, work, or just for fun, I'd love to help you get there step by step. Let's chat and get started!

Each lesson is built around a real, practical topic — ordering food, talking about your day, planning a trip — rather than isolated grammar drills.
We explore the topic through conversation, and the grammar and vocabulary come naturally from that, so it actually sticks.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up conversation, new vocabulary tied to the topic, guided practice through natural dialogue, and simple grammar explanations as they come up.
You'll be speaking from the very first lesson. Everything is adapted to your level and goals, whether you're a complete beginner or already have some conversational Slovak.
Light homework may be suggested between lessons, but the focus always stays on real, spoken communication.
