About Melissa
I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica with a passion for working with children and helping others learn. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Preschool Education with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language. I also have a 220-hour TEFL/TESOL certification, which has given me additional training in language teaching.
I am patient, friendly, and understanding, especially with students who are just beginning to learn a new language. As a mother of two young children, I also understand the importance of making learning enjoyable, encouraging, and appropriate for each child's age and personality.

I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica, and I enjoy helping children and beginners learn Spanish in a comfortable and encouraging environment. My lessons are fun, interactive, and adapted to each student's age and level.
I use games, pictures, songs, conversation, and simple activities to teach vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday Spanish. For children, I focus on learning naturally through play and repetition. For beginners, I introduce Spanish step by step so they can build confidence and start using the language from the first lessons.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Preschool Education with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language. My studies have helped me learn how to plan age-appropriate activities and create engaging learning experiences for young children.
