About Ana Maria
Hi! My name is Ana Maria Gonzalez, and I am a student at Baylor University studying Corporate Communication with a minor in Spanish. I come from a Mexican-American background, and growing up bilingual sparked my passion for language, culture, and connecting with others. I have experience working in leadership, mentoring, and communication-focused roles, and I love helping students build confidence while learning. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, community involvement, and creating positive, encouraging environments where people feel supported and motivated to grow.

My approach as a Spanish tutor is focused on creating a supportive and conversational learning environment where students feel confident practicing the language. I use interactive techniques such as real-life conversations, vocabulary practice, pronunciation exercises, and grammar activities tailored to each student’s level and goals. A typical lesson includes reviewing past material, introducing new vocabulary or grammar concepts, and practicing through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. What sets me apart is my bilingual background and ability to make learning Spanish feel natural, engaging, and personalized rather than overwhelming. My lessons are for beginner to intermediate students of all ages, including middle school, high school, and college students who want to improve their speaking skills, class performance, pronunciation, or confidence in conversational Spanish.
