About Brenda
Jambo! I am Brenda, a native Swahili tutor from Nairobi, Kenya.
I grew up speaking Swahili at home, school and in my community, so I teach the real Swahili that Kenyans speak daily - not just textbook Swahili.
I am friendly, patient and I make lessons very simple and fun. I love helping foreigners, travelers and beginners feel confident speaking Swahili.
My goal is to help you speak naturally, understand Kenyan culture, and connect with people easily when you visit Kenya.

About the lessons:
My lessons are 100% conversational and practical. We focus on speaking from the first minute.
We will learn:
- Greetings and introductions
- Shopping and bargaining in the market
- Directions and transport
- Daily conversation with Kenyans
- Culture and slang that Kenyans really use
Method: I use simple dialogues, role-plays, and real-life examples. No boring textbook memorization. I correct you gently and make you speak with confidence.
Lessons are online via video call, 1 hour. Perfect for complete beginners, travelers coming to Kenya, and foreigners who want to connect with locals.
You will speak your first Swahili sentences in the first lesson!
