About Dorris

My name is Dorris Wairimu, I live in Riverside, Nairobi, Kenya. I am a native Swahili speaker and also fluent in English. I have lived in Nairobi my whole life.

I love teaching and helping foreigners understand Kenyan culture and language. I am patient, kind, and I explain things in a very simple way. I have helped many friends and neighbors learn Swahili for work and daily life.

I want to teach because I enjoy seeing my students become confident and happy speaking Swahili. Teaching online allows me to meet people from all over the world while working from home.

I am reliable and always on time for lesson

About the lesson

Jambo! I am Dorris from Nairobi, a native Swahili and English speaker. I teach real conversational Swahili used in Kenya daily.

My method is simple and patient. We speak from lesson one, no boring grammar. I teach greetings, market Swahili, matatu, work Swahili, and slang Kenyans actually use.

Lessons are on Zoom or WhatsApp video. I provide notes and homework after each lesson. I am friendly, I explain slowly, and I make you confident fast.
