About Marla

I am a native Turkish speaker who lived in London for many years. My English is fluent and natural, which means our lessons will always be smooth and easy to follow. You will never struggle to understand me.

Having spent a long time in the UK, I understand what it is like to learn a language in a new environment and how important it is to actually use what you are learning in real situations. I bring that perspective into how I teach.

I am approachable, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping people connect with the Turkish language. Whether you are learning for travel, culture, family, or just out of curiosity, I am here to make the process as natural and enjoyable as possible.

About the lesson

I teach Turkish to learners of all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to polish their fluency. As a native speaker, I bring real, natural Turkish into every lesson rather than textbook-only language.

Each lesson is tailored to what you actually need. If you are a beginner, we start with the basics of pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, and simple sentence structures. If you already have some foundation, we work on expanding your grammar, building confidence in conversation, and understanding how Turkish is actually spoken in daily life.

I place a strong emphasis on speaking from the very first lesson. Reading and writing are important, but being able to communicate naturally is what most learners are after, and that is where I focus my energy.

Lessons are conducted in a relaxed and supportive environment. There is no pressure and no judgment. Learning a language takes time, and I am patient with every step of the process.

If you have a specific goal, such as traveling to Turkey, connecting with Turkish family or friends, watching Turkish shows without subtitles, or simply picking up a new language, we can build the lessons around that goal from day one.
