About Sosy
Hello, my name is Sosy. I am a native Western Armenian speaker and currently a student at UCLA. I am fluent in both Armenian and English and received a Bilingual Competency Award in Western Armenian. Having attended an Armenian private school, I have a strong foundation in the Armenian language and culture. I also have one year of experience teaching Armenian to children ages 3 to 7 at a Saturday school. I enjoy making lessons engaging and age-appropriate, and I am comfortable teaching both children and older students at different learning levels.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s age, level, goals, and preferred learning style. Whether you learn best through conversation, visuals, writing, repetition, or hands-on activities, we will use the methods that work best for you.
Lessons can focus specifically on speaking, writing, or reading Armenian, or we can combine all three. It is completely up to you and what you hope to achieve.
Each lesson will be taught step by step, with clear explanations and plenty of guided practice. Younger students may learn through drawings, pictures, and interactive activities, while older students can choose the skills and topics they want to focus on. At the end of each lesson, you will receive a review of what we covered and material to practice before our next meeting.
We will also keep track of your goals and progress from your first lesson onward, so you can see how much your Western Armenian has improved over time. Every lesson is flexible and designed around you!
