About Lavinia
I am approachable, friendly and competent, with two years of previous tutoring experience. I have recently graduated from King's College London with a first-class BSc in Biomedical Science, and have completed the European Baccalaureate (A-level equivalent) with Chemistry and Maths as advanced subjects. I also have a Master's degree in Science Communication from Imperial College London. I thoroughly enjoy the process of teaching. Having moved from my home country of Luxembourg to London for my studies, I am very much looking forward to picking up tutoring again here!

As someone setting up their career in science communication, I am passionate about being able to share knowledge and empower learners. As such I am great at making difficult concepts accessible and logical - to the point where they will seem (hopefully) obvious when we see how they work! Natural sciences always sounds a bit vague, so here is a quick run-down of my expertise: A-level: - Biology - Chemistry Undergraduate level: - Biochemistry - Neuroscience - Pharmacology - Genetics - Physiology - Organic Chemistry I offer my first lesson for free - this is so we can get to know each other and really understand your academic needs. We will look through the course material to identify key areas to focus on and make a concrete plan for the subsequent lesson(s). I also have an extensive library of resources and notes that we can use too! Tutoring is available in English, German and French - I am fluent in all 3 and have done formal science education in all of them.
