About Noor
Hi! I'm a Year 13 student, and my favorite subjects are Chemistry and English. Last year, I initially struggled with Chemistry and found it quite daunting, but I managed to get back on track and discovered just how much I love the subject!
Having studied the content recently, I understand the challenges students face and can share practical strategies to help them succeed. I'm passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding and learn how to approach exam questions effectively. I aim to make learning approachable and supportive, helping every student feel more prepared for their assessments.
I also have three years of tutoring experience in Arabic, which has helped me develop my communication skills and learn how to adapt my teaching to different students' needs.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts, practicing exam-style questions and learning how to structure answers effectively. I break down difficult topics into simple explanations and teach students reliable answer structures and model answers they can apply to different exam questions. I believe consistent practice is key to building confidence and achieving strong results.
Having completed NCEA Level 2 Chemistry only last year, the content is still fresh in my mind, and I can relate to what students are currently learning. I understand the importance of knowing both the content and how to apply it in assessments. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs, with a focus on NCEA Chemistry, exam preparation and improving assessment performance. Online lessons are preferred, although in-person lessons can also be arranged at public libraries in Wellington. Lesson lengths can be adjusted to suit each student's needs.
