About Rachel
As an education major, I’ve learned a lot about how to teach and how to adapt my lessons to fit every student. For one of my courses, I had to tutor a student weekly and submit lesson plans for feedback. I feel I grew a lot from this experience and am a highly experienced tutor! I want to share my own love of reading with students to help them succeed and enjoy school!

Hi! My name is Rachel, I’m a teacher candidate at Marist College. I’m going into my senior year and have finished all of my education coursework besides student teaching. I have experience tutoring as well as working in classroom settings. The education program at Marist focuses heavily on literacy, and it has become my favorite subject to teach. I am working towards certification in general and special education from birth to sixth grade, but I am comfortable helping older students with writing and literature as I am also maintaining my own high level writing. I have taken AP Language and Composition as well as AP Literature for any high school students who may need help.
