I remember sitting in the back of my first chemistry class where i couldn't even pass an exam. Now I am soon to graduate with by Ph.D. in organic chemistry. Yes, the struggle is real.
I experienced challenging times in chemistry and I have used that to developed my method of teaching. I take a systematic approach to teaching where I start from a basic fundamental concept and build upon it. I also address common areas of confusion that I experienced and in my teaching experience have seen other experience.
Once I cover concepts, when questions are asked to me, I often ask the question back in a different wording or manner. Most organic chemistry is fundamental and follows the basic principles. you have to learn to think simple and go back to the beginning work your way forward to answer the questions you don't understand. I can teach you to apply basic principles and concepts to questions you have never seen and be able to answer them.
