About Sandra
I taught ESL in Quebec City for five years, working at three different language schools. I evaluated student levels and also wrote chapters for one school's in-house textbooks. Prior to this, I was a classical singer, a profession which requires close attention to pronunciation and phonetics in multiple different languages. This is what makes me an expert in diction! I have also been an adult educator in a wide variety of topics for over 25 years. I customize my approach for each individual student to learn each person's learning style. I'd love to be your instructor!

I'm a grammar nerd who loves talking about verb tenses. I learned second and third languages as an adult myself and I know what a challenge it can be! With me, I'll help you feel confident in your skills by giving you the tools to improve.
-A typical lesson would look like: a grammar topic followed by immediate practise in conversation and writing, with an emphasis on correct pronunciation
-We may also listen to a video (spoken or musical) to identify words or conjugations, for example
-We can focus on English for business/workplace use, including email etiquette, business letters, client interactions, specific vocabulary, etc
-We can add a focus on reading comprehension, literature, or writing, as you need
