About YT
I am a University of Cambridge masters student enthusiastic to teach Mandarin and Biology at all levels. I am a native Mandarin speaker myself, lived in China for several years and am currently doing Neuroscience after achieving First class honours in Pharmacology (BSc). Before this, I have done the International Baccalaureate, which I achieved a total score of 41 in. My subjects include First Language English, First Language Chinese, Economics, Biology, Chemistry and Math. I have also done the IGCSEs so I am very well familiar with examination requirements and formats of the GCSE, IB and biological sciences courses in University if you are taking one of these curriculums.
My academic experiences and achievements make me qualified to tutor Mandarin/Chinese, Biology and Chemistry at all levels. Furthermore, I have had ample experiences tutoring mandarin translations and Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level. I would love to help you achieve your goals and am very happy to tailor lessons to your requirements. Before lessons, we will discuss about your aims and goals, which will help me curate an effective lesson plan in the long term.

I usually focus on materials you will need a special focus on during lessons and set some homework, which we can then discuss at the beginning of the next lesson. I often take a 'prompt and explain' approach, where I try to get the student to attempt to answer some questions on a new topic before I further explain the topic to help identify weaknesses and consolidate knowledge.
