About Charles
I am a Teacher of Maths, have been for over a year. Have given one-to-one tuition to dozens of students who in turn have excelled beyond their target grades at KS3, GCSE and A level. I have a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, which has granted me knowledge of a wide variety of maths and its applications, allowing me to make learning maths much more interesting.

My teaching method is based on a cycle of assessment, feedback, consolidation of new learning and back to assessment to repeat the cycle. Tuition is targeted and specific to the learner's needs based on the results of assessment. Each lesson consists of a short but rigorous assessment exercise completed independently, followed by a review of the exercise to identify specific areas of need, tuition to address the areas of need including time to consolidate learning, and finally an opportunity to re-attempt the assessment exercise to show the progress made.

Up to GCSE level my standard rate is £15/hr.
A level rate is £20/hr.
