About Rupen
Hi, I’m Rupen — a passionate NHS Clinical Scientist, biochemistry graduate, cancer researcher, and science communicator who lives and breathes making science make sense. I hold a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Manchester, where my research explored how nanoparticles can help detect cancer earlier and more accurately. I’ve also studied how specific nutrients can affect lung cancer cells — work that’s deepened my understanding of real-world science and sharpened my eye for detail. In my current NHS role in Clinical Biochemistry, I help deliver vital diagnostic results that directly impact patient treatment. Every day, I work hands-on with advanced lab equipment and real patient samples — and I bring that real-world experience into every lesson I teach. Whether it’s explaining a tricky biology topic, guiding a student through their dissertation, or helping someone apply for an NHS role, I’m committed to giving my students the clarity, confidence, and edge they need. But what truly sets me apart? I don’t just teach science — I live it. I give lectures, talks, and training sessions. I’ve worked my way up through the NHS. I know what it takes to succeed in healthcare and academia — and I love helping others find their path. About Your Lessons As an NHS trainee Clinical Scientist with a BSc in Medical Biochemistry and an MSc in Biochemistry, I offer science tutoring that is clear, engaging, and goal-oriented.
