About Ember
I am a passionate guitar teacher with 11 years of experience helping students develop their skills, confidence, and musical creativity. My lessons blend traditional technique with modern technology to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience. I use digital tools such as DAWs, tablature software, virtual amps, and metronome apps to enhance practice, songwriting, and performance skills. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, from Beginner to Advanced, ensuring steady progress and personal growth. Ear training, improvisation, and music theory are integrated into practical exercises to strengthen musical understanding. I emphasise performance coaching to build confidence and a stage presence, whether for recitals, bands, or solo projects. Technology allows students to explore composition, recording, and creative experimentation in ways traditional lessons alone cannot. I guide learners through challenges, providing feedback and strategies to overcome technical and musical hurdles. Each lesson is interactive, fun, and focused on making music accessible and inspiring. Students are encouraged to develop their own style while mastering essential skills. My teaching approach focuses on helping students of all levels develop their skills, confidence, and musical creativity. I combine structured lessons with personalised instruction tailored to each student’s goals and style. Ear training is a key part of my methodology, helping learners recognise tones, chords, and progressions quickly. I integrate music theory into practical exercises so students understand the “why” behind what they play. Performance coaching is included to build stage presence and confidence, whether for recitals, bands, or solo practice. I make use of modern tools like DAWs, amp simulators, and metronome apps to enhance practice and recording skills. Lessons cover a wide range of styles, including jazz, rock, classical, and modern genres. Improvisation and creative exploration are encouraged to help students develop their own voice. I guide learners through challenges, providing clear feedback and strategies to improve efficiently. For students eager to push boundaries, I create projects and exercises that expand technical skills and musical understanding. Every lesson is interactive, engaging, and designed to make learning enjoyable. My goal is to help students not just play guitar, but excel, express themselves, and connect deeply with music.
