About Zara

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with a focus on guitar. I have over 11 years of experience playing and teaching guitar. My training allows me to blend theory with real-world playing in a clear and practical way. I teach across genres such as rock, classical, folk, and blues. I enjoy helping students understand not just how to play, but why music works. I work with both young learners and adult students. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace and goals. I focus on building strong technique, musical confidence, and creativity. I believe learning guitar should feel motivating, not overwhelming. My goal is to help every student grow into a confident and expressive guitarist.

About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach is student-centred, flexible, and supportive. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s pace, goals, and learning style. I work well with neurodiverse students by using clear structure, repetition, and calm guidance. Sensory tools like visual chord charts, rhythm clapping, and listening exercises help improve focus and understanding. I break complex techniques into small, manageable steps. I guide students who enjoy relaxed strumming styles as well as those exploring rich harmonies and improvisation. Lessons include rhythm training, ear development, music theory basics, and creative expression. I encourage regular practice without pressure. Positive feedback is used to build confidence and motivation. I create a safe learning space where mistakes are part of growth. Progress is reviewed often and lessons are adjusted when needed. My goal is to help every student enjoy guitar and excel with confidence.
