About Lora

Nursing is a profession that I am very passionate about. Individuals who go into nursing are held to high standards because we care for people who are most vulnerable. I am a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Leadership and I have a Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in Nursing Education degree. Compassion and Integrity are two cornerstones of nursing, and as a tutor, I wish to model those for you and demonstrate how they can lead you to success.

About the lesson

My teaching method is focused on simplicity and organizing information and your thought process. Nursing is complicated; so much to know in such little time to learn and truly understand it. Let me do some of that work for you As a nursing instructor myself, I am very aware of the time constraints placed on instructors and the lack of one-on-one time with your instructor, and the incomplete classroom setting where it is impossible to bridge together everything you need to be successful in nursing --unless you are that top 69% that can get it on your own.

If you're feeling lost or like you can't do this, let me try to help you before you give up. I will give you the positive motivation you deserve. I have, time and time again, had the best retention rates of all my colleagues and repeatedly had 100% NCLEX passing rates. My personal teaching philosophy is to make great nurses by modeling compassion and integrity. You will find that I am motivated to see you succeed.

Your personalized lesson plan will include your goals and steps to achieving those goals. Those steps will be individualized based on your own personal instructional needs.

I specialize in PN and RN undergrad programs but also have experience in MSN-level programs.

My local community is very diverse, with many cultures from around the world. I am comfortable working with students whose primary language is not English. While I am in progress of learning Spanish, I am not fluent.

Available to travel within 30-mile radius of Sioux City as part of the fee listed. Additional locations are available for face-to-face tutoring for added travel expenses. Tutoring will take place in a public area, such as a library or a quiet coffee shop.
