About Izel

Hello! My name is Izel, and I am currently studying Education at North-West University. I am passionate about teaching, and I believe that every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement. Helping learners grow in their understanding of English and feel confident in their abilities is something I truly enjoy. I have experience tutoring students of different ages and skill levels. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and adaptable. I aim to explain concepts clearly and guide students step-by-step, while creating a comfortable environment where they feel supported and motivated. I enjoy making lessons engaging and meaningful by using practical examples and interactive activities. I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans, and can teach in either language depending on the learner’s needs. Whether students are looking to improve their reading, writing, comprehension, speaking, grammar, or exam preparation, I offer personalized support to help them reach their goals. I am committed to helping each learner make steady progress and develop confidence in their English abilities. I look forward to working with you and supporting your academic journey!

About the lesson

I approach private tutoring with patience, structure, and a strong focus on building confidence in each learner. My teaching philosophy centres on meeting students where they are, then guiding them step-by-step toward improvement. I encourage curiosity, questions, and active participation, helping students develop the skills they need to communicate clearly and effectively.

What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to create a supportive and encouraging space where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s learning style, ensuring that the content is meaningful, engaging, and easy to follow.

I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and can offer lessons in either language depending on the student’s preference.

A typical lesson includes a short revision of past work, followed by guided explanation of new content, practical examples, and interactive activities. Students can expect constructive feedback, opportunities to practise, and clear guidance every step of the way.

My lessons are designed for primary and high school learners of all levels. Whether students need help with reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, or exam preparation, I offer personalised support to help them reach their academic goals.
