About Prawit

I’m a professional guitarist, composer, and educator with more than ten years of experience teaching, performing, and recording. I hold a master’s degree in Jazz Studies from NYU and work with intermediate and advanced guitarists, improvisers, songwriters, and experienced players who feel stuck or disconnected from their own playing.

About the lesson

Lessons usually begin with a simple invitation: play me anything.

That might be a song, an improvisation, a chord progression, or whatever you naturally reach for on the guitar. From there, we listen for what is already working and where your playing stops feeling free. Maybe your chords are not connecting smoothly, your scale knowledge is difficult to use musically, you need more repertoire, or you have ideas that your technique and ear cannot yet fully express.

We use what you already know to discover what you need next. Rather than collecting disconnected scales, chords, and exercises, you’ll learn how harmony, technique, rhythm, repertoire, ear training, improvisation, and composition support the music you actually want to make.

My goal is to help you hear yourself more clearly, explore with confidence, improvise and arrange music, and continue developing without always needing someone else to tell you what to practice. We never run out of material because your own playing continually shows us where to go next.

Lessons are available for acoustic or electric guitar and are shaped around your experience, interests, and musical goals.

Prawit gave me lessons for nearly 2 years. I learned more than I thought I would! He’s very flexible and tailors lessons to my speed and, most importantly, to the style of music I want to learn (Blues is King!)
