About Hanan

I am a dedicated educator and PhD researcher in Religion and Theology with over a decade of experience teaching both in person and online. In addition to Arabic, I have also taught Quranic recitation, tajweed and Islamic Studies. My background is uniquely multidisciplinary: I hold certificates in Arabic language teaching and advanced Tajweed, as well as a master's in Islamic Studies, which enable me to provide a high level of precision and academic depth in our sessions.

Throughout my career, I have taught students of diverse ages and backgrounds. This breadth of experience has taught me that no two students learn the same way, which is why I prioritise a friendly, kind and highly adaptive approach.

I believe that the most effective learning happens when the material resonates with your personal goals. My approach is intentionally student-centred. I tailor the lessons to suit your specific learning style and objectives. We move beyond rote memorisation to foster a genuine, intellectual, and heart-centred engagement with the Quranic text.

Learning Quranic Arabic is often a deeply personal journey. As I am also a community pastoral practitioner, I weave this into my lessons. This holistic approach helps you not only master the mechanics of the language but also achieve a meaningful spiritual connection with the Quran.

Whether you are looking to deepen your linguistic understanding or dive into a thematic exploration, I am here to act as both your academic tutor and your spiritual mentor on this rewarding path of discovery.

About the lesson

I offer a friendly, patient, interactive and structured environment for learning Quranic Arabic. My approach is designed to be a supportive journey of discovery, moving at a pace that respects your individual learning style and interests.

Each 50-minute lesson provides a balanced blend of linguistics and spiritual engagement. We dedicate a portion of each lesson to guided recitation, during which I provide real-time, precise corrections. We explore the verses word by word, deconstructing the vocabulary to build a strong linguistic foundation and deepen understanding. We also learn about the context and themes of the verses, helping you engage authentically with the Quran's message. We move as quickly or as deeply as you prefer, ensuring no question goes unanswered.

Please note the following:
* Students should be 16 years old or over and able to read the Quran at a beginner level, at least.
* I use an online calendar system, allowing you to book sessions at your own convenience and across different time zones.
* All lessons are held on Zoom, ensuring high-quality audio and video for clear instruction
