About Janet
After a career in engineering I came in to teaching when I had my own children. I have taught Maths, Science, ICT, Technology and Computer Science. I am passionate about education and opportunity. I try tailor my lessons to each student using their response to develop a style and pace to suit them.

I have 20 years of experience teaching young people and no two learners are the same. It is very difficult for classroom teachers to give every individual the help they need. In a one to one tuition session I can identify gaps in their knowledge and spend time ensuring that students fully understand a concept before trying to move on.

Both my children would really recommend Janet (and so would I!) She's very patient, mixes up the lessons with teaching and games, and is very good at explaining the problem if they get stuck. I think it speaks volumes that both children (aged 9 and 11) really look forward to her sessions even after a busy day at school!
We found Janet through a family friend and she is an amazing tutor. It is clear over the past three months how much she enjoys working with young people (my daughter) to develop her knowledge skills and confidence.
