About Alison

Hi, my name is Alison. I am a year 2 student studying in University of Glasgow. I have been helping my school to teach younger children maths since I was a primary 6 student. I have finished my Higher level Exam and got 6As (Maths, Chemistry, Geography, Mandarin, Business, English). I achieved 100 marks for all of my maths tests except once I got 98. I am very passionate about helping younger students to build their base and increase their confidence while doing Maths.
* If you are a student who are more confident in Chinese, no worries, I can also speak both Mandarin and Cantonese which can help you to read and do maths questions more comfortably.

About the lesson

My lesson will be planned based on your needs. Tell me topics that you struggle most with, or confusions that you have. If you don't have a specific topic that you want to talk about, I can always look for new topics that you might need to learn in the future. Whether you are preparing for your school exams or trying to consolidate your basic Maths skills. I will ensure that students have time to ask questions throughout the lessons. You can also contact me at all times via text or email.
A typical lesson includes:
- Explanation for specific topics
- Give practice questions
- Explain how the topics can be applied to difficult problem-solving questions
- tips that can be applied to certain questions
Finally, recapping what we have gone over, and make sure the student has a full understanding of the topic that they struggle with.
