About Tanya

Hello! I'm Tanya, a dedicated tutor with over seven years of experience. I specialize in helping young learners build strong foundations in reading, writing, grammar, phonics, vocabulary, and spoken English through engaging and personalized lessons.

I am certified in Jolly Phonics and Grammar and have experience supporting students with school academics, confidence building, and preparation for assessments, like Olympiads, Lexiquest, including the Australian NAPLAN curriculum. My teaching approach combines patience, structure, and creativity so that every child feels encouraged to participate, ask questions, and enjoy learning.

I understand that every learner is unique. That's why I take the time to get to know each student's strengths, challenges, and goals before designing lessons that suit their individual needs.

About the lesson

I believe that every child can succeed when learning is engaging, encouraging, and tailored to their individual needs. My goal is not only to improve a student's English skills but also to help them become confident, independent learners who enjoy the learning process.

My lessons are designed for children aged 4–14 and adults preparing for SAT and IELTS, also including preschool, primary, and middle school students. I also support learners preparing for school assessments, English examinations, and the Australian NAPLAN curriculum.

Each lesson is personalised to match the student's age, learning style, and goals. I begin by understanding their strengths and areas for improvement, then create structured lessons that build skills step by step. Classes include a mix of reading, phonics, grammar, writing, vocabulary, speaking, storytelling, educational games, and interactive activities to keep students motivated and actively involved.

As a Jolly Phonics and Grammar certified tutor with over seven years of teaching experience, I focus on making complex concepts simple and enjoyable. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and learn through practice rather than memorisation. My classroom is a positive and supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn and grow.
