About Zinny

Hi, I'm Zinny, a maths tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students build confidence in mathematics.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics which I achieved early, and have recently finished my A-level Maths.

Alongside my academic studies, I have experience working with young people through my role as Head Coach of an U13 rugby team. This has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and the ability to explain challenging concepts in a clear and accessible way.

Having recently completed these qualifications myself, I understand the difficulties students can face and the strategies that can help them succeed. Whether a student is aiming to strengthen their foundations, improve their confidence, or achieve top grades, I am committed to providing supportive and effective tuition.

I look forward to helping students develop both their mathematical ability and confidence.

About the lesson

I believe that every student is capable of succeeding in mathematics with the right support and approach. My lessons focus on building confidence and understanding rather than simply memorising methods. By breaking complex topics into manageable steps, I help students develop the skills needed to tackle problems independently.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and ability level. Whether you are looking to strengthen core skills, prepare for term time maths tests, GCSEs or A-Levels, I will adapt lessons to suit your needs.
We may focus on learning new content, consolidating schoolwork, tackling challenging exam questions, or improving exam technique.

Having recently completed A-Level Mathematics, I understand both the subject content and the challenges students face when learning it. I am therefore able to provide practical advice on revision, problem-solving, and avoiding common mistakes.

Lessons are typically one hour long and are available online for students from primary school through to A-Level. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately developing confidence in their mathematical ability.
