About Alwyn

I come from a training background during which I tutored many students over the past 30 years in security and occupational health and safety. As a native English speaker did TEFL and also qualified as an online English teacher with SOET. The School of Online English Tutoring and graduated with a distinction of 81% overall.

I’m an online radio presenter for the past 10 years as I love to talk to people, sharing knowledge and information.

As a professional English teacher I tutor Spanish, French, Argentinian and German students since April 2020. I simply love the multi cultural diversity of my students and the human light brought into my classroom. My teaching strategy and student centered approach lends itself to a pleasant and rewarding student experience in learning English. I also tutor as a community teacher to a number of online students that needs to practice bilingual proficiency.

About the lesson

My name is Alwyn Mouton but my students call me Teacher AJ. I’m a 60 year old NATIVE ONLINE ENGLISH teacher and a music connoisseur. Enjoying a great variety of genres I firmly believe that music is the most powerful language, unifying people across the world.

All lesson plans presented are based on the PPP-method namely Presentation, Practice and Production. All classes given are student focused getting the student to speak the language as much as possible. The PPP method is a combination of methodology comprising of the Direct Method, Audio-lingual, Direct Translation etc. to name a few. One can only truly make music once you know the notes. The different approaches are like music notes. A combination of approaches & techniques creates variety and interest, and ensures lesson delivery to meet student needs.
