• 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  My interest in teaching began several years ago when I started helping children and new learners understand the Quran and basic Islamic knowledge. The joy of seeing students improve, gain confidence, and connect with their faith inspired me to continue teaching. Over time, this interest grew into a strong passion for private tutoring, where I can give personal attention and guide each student according to their level.

• 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach Quran with Tajweed, Islamic Studies, Hadiths, Duas, and short Islamic courses that help students become good Muslims in daily life. I enjoy teaching about Islamic manners, Hadiths, and daily Duas. I always try to make lessons easy, clear, and enjoyable for every student.

• 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Yes, I was deeply inspired by one of my own Quran teachers. Her patience, kindness, and ability to make lessons feel peaceful and engaging left a lasting impact on me. She showed me that teaching is not just about knowledge, but also about character and compassion.

• 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  A good tutor should have patience, clear communication, empathy, and a genuine love for teaching. It’s important to understand each student’s learning style and encourage them in a positive way. Consistency, good character, and sincerity also play a big role in making a tutor effective and trusted.

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  One of my memorable moments was when a young student who struggled with Quran reading told me, “Now I love reading the Quran because you make it easy.” That moment reminded me that even small progress can build confidence and love for learning — and that’s the real reward of teaching.

• 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  At first, managing students with different learning speeds and attention levels was a challenge. Some were quick learners, while others needed more time and motivation. With experience, I learned to adjust my teaching methods — using patience, encouragement, and step-by-step guidance — to help every student move forward comfortably.

• 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  Teaching itself is my biggest passion. I find peace and purpose in helping others learn the Quran and Islamic knowledge. Every class feels meaningful because it’s not just about education, but also about building good character and connection with Allah.
