About Maxim
I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old. To build my skills, I studied music performance at the Tomsk Regional College of Culture and Arts (TGKSKTI) and later completed a 2-year intensive Music Performance program at Liljeholmens Folkhögskola in Sweden, focusing heavily on guitar technique and live performance.
I’ve been teaching guitar professionally for over 7 years. I worked at the "Virtuosos" Private Music School in Tomsk, Russia and the "Easy Music" private school in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, helping dozens of teenagers and adults go from absolute beginners to confidently playing acoustic and electric guitar.
I also create guitar covers and tutorials for my YouTube and Instagram pages, which helps me stay sharp as a player.

My main goal is simple: I want to help you play your favorite songs and actually enjoy music.
I don’t believe in forcing everyone into the exact same strict program. Instead, I adapt everything to your musical tastes and goals. I try to get you playing simple songs right from our very first lessons, because practical experience is the most important thing.
In my lessons, we usually balance:
𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞: We will practice proper hand placement and exercises to keep your hands relaxed and moving naturally.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜: We focus on playing the tracks you love. As we learn, we’ll naturally cover different guitar terms and methods depending on the style of music you choose.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 (𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥): We completely prioritize practice first. If you want to dive deeper into music theory or harmony later on, we can absolutely do that, but only when you feel ready.

We have classes once a week, by zoom. I like everything
I have been taking lessons from Maxim for quite a while now. He really helped me to improve my technic and learn a couple of my favorite songs that I couldn't play before. We also went through the basics of music theory. Right now working on improvisation and scales :)
I studied for about six months, and I want to say that I am glad that I found not only a true professional, but also a responsive teacher. I improved my playing skills, learned a lot of new things for myself during the training, for which I am very grateful to Maxim!
