About Honor

I'm Honor, the founder of Monaco Violin Studio, and this profile is managed by me. I teach violin at the studio, and our guitar lessons are taught by Ahren Haedrich.

Ahren started playing music at three, beginning on violin and later piano and guitar. He played in the California All-State Orchestra in high school before going on to study music at the University of British Columbia, and he also holds a degree in audio recording and sound engineering from Recording Arts Canada in Montreal.

For the last twenty years he has focused on guitar, playing and performing blues, rock, folk and bluegrass, both solo and with a collection of bands across Northern California. He teaches acoustic and electric, and works with complete beginners as readily as with players who already have some years behind them.

Our studio is built around live, personal teaching online, clear and simple policies, and extras like workshops and practice resources that help students stay motivated between lessons.

About the lesson

Guitar lessons in this ad are taught by Ahren Haedrich, the guitar teacher at Monaco Violin Studio, my online music studio. I'm Honor, the founder — I teach violin here, and when you message this ad I'll reply and set up your free first lesson with Ahren.

Lessons are live, one-on-one and online over video, so you can learn from anywhere in the US. They are open to adults and to students aged 11 and up, including complete beginners and players picking the guitar back up after years away.

Every lesson is built around what you actually want to play rather than a fixed syllabus. Depending on your goals that can include chords and rhythm playing, fingerstyle, lead and improvisation, reading and theory, tone and technique, and a clear practice plan between lessons. Acoustic or electric, and Ahren works across blues, rock, folk and bluegrass.

Your first 30-minute lesson is free, so you can meet Ahren, talk about what you want to play, and see whether it's a good fit.
