About Muhammad Joun
I'm Muhammad Joun Ali, a Mandarin Chinese tutor based in Islamabad, Pakistan. My journey with Chinese began when I chose to study Area Studies (China) at NUML, where I earned my BS. Over the past 2+ years, I've been teaching Mandarin online, and I spent a year as a Chinese Language Teacher at the Confucius Institute in Islamabad, which deepened my passion for teaching.
I want to teach because I believe Pakistani students deserve access to quality Chinese language education. With China being such an important partner for Pakistan, learning Mandarin opens doors to scholarships, careers, and cultural understanding. As a native Urdu speaker, I love helping students learn Chinese in a language they fully understand.

Hello! My name is Joun Ali, and I teach Mandarin Chinese online to students in Pakistan and beyond. As a native Urdu speaker fluent in English and Chinese, I can explain Chinese concepts in Urdu and English, which makes learning much easier for Pakistani students.
I have completed HSK 4 and bring over 2 years of online Mandarin teaching experience, including a year as a Chinese Language Teacher at the Confucius Institute in Islamabad. I also hold a BS in Area Studies (China) from NUML.
My lessons are structured and beginner-friendly, covering HSK 1-2, YCT for kids, basic Mandarin conversation, and pinyin/tones. Typical lessons last 45-60 minutes with plenty of speaking practice and clear explanations.
The first lesson is an introduction: we assess your level, discuss your goals, and plan your learning path. Looking forward to helping you start your Chinese journey!
