About Shoba
Regarding my education, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Machine Learning with a Minor in Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego. I completed an Associate's Degree in Mathematics at De Anza College as well.
I have tutored students at the Mathnasium of Sunnyvale and through private tutoring. I am open to helping middle school students, but would primarily like to tutor high school or college students.

Mathematics can be fascinating and creative when we understand what the numbers, symbols, and shapes represent. I would like to help more students learn to enjoy math, which strengthens their academics as well.
My method of tutoring encourages understanding and discovery over memorization. I like to break down formulas primarily using visualizations. The sessions would take place in an online format and I would structure them based on each student's needs (e.g. answering questions, exploring a topic).
