About Victoria

I am a psychology graduate with a strong academic background, who returned to study later in life. This experience has shaped my approach to tutoring, as I understand the challenges of building confidence, managing self-doubt, and finding effective ways to learn that work for you.

I am a patient and clear tutor, and I am always happy to work at a pace that suits the student. Whether you need concepts explained slowly, ideas revisited in different ways, or time to practise and ask questions, sessions are tailored to your needs rather than rushed.

Having studied psychology at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, I am particularly comfortable supporting students with essay writing, research methods, statistics, and understanding key theories and studies. I enjoy helping students move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable and confident in their work.

I work well with students who may feel anxious about psychology, returning to education, or who simply need someone to explain things in a calm, supportive, and structured way. All tutoring is delivered online, providing a flexible and comfortable learning environment.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, structured, and supportive. I tailor each session to the student’s level, syllabus, and individual learning style, focusing on building both understanding and confidence. Rather than rote learning, I emphasise why concepts matter and how to apply them effectively in essays, exams, and coursework.

I use clear explanations, guided discussion, worked examples, and exam-style practice to help students engage actively with the material. For A level students, this includes breaking down key studies, theories, and evaluation points. For undergraduate students, I focus on developing critical thinking, academic writing, and research skills alongside content understanding.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, which allows enough time to introduce or revisit material, practise skills, and address questions. Shorter or longer sessions can be arranged if needed.

I hold a degree in psychology and am currently completing postgraduate training in health psychology. I have strong experience in research methods, statistics, and academic writing, and regularly support students with essays, exam preparation, and coursework. My background includes working with students from a range of educational routes, including mature and distance learners.

My lessons are suitable for A level students (typically aged 16–18) and undergraduate psychology students, particularly those who want clear explanations, structured support, and help developing confidence in their academic skills. All sessions are delivered online, offering flexibility and a comfortable learning environment.
