About James
I am a current A-Level Computer Science student who achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Computer Science and have strong experience in Python Programming. Having recently studied computer science myself, I understand the topics that students often find challenging and can guide them confidently through coding concepts and problem-solving tasks.
Beyond academics, I have been a Young Leader in Scouting for 3 years, developing my patience, communication, leadership and mentoring skills. These qualities shape my teaching style, allowing me to explain programming concepts clearly, break down complex problems into manageable steps and support students in building confidence.
I teach beginner and intermediate Python students, covering topics such as variables, data types, loops, functions, lists and dictionaries, file handling, object-orientated programming and problem-solving techniques. Lessons are one hour long, structured, and tailored to each student's experience level and learning goals.
I am approachable, reliable and dedicated to helping students succeed. By combining recent experience in Computer Science with strong leadership and communication skills, I create a supportive and professional learning environment where students can develop their coding abilities and gain confidence in Python programming.

I help students learn Python programming by breaking concepts into clear, manageable steps. Each lesson is one hour long and focuses on explanations, worked coding examples, practical exercises, and problem-solving tasks to build confidence and develop programming skills.

Perfect! James has been a real find!
He has been teaching my daughter Python, as both myself and my daughter wanted her to be ahead when she goes to Uni with regards to the degree she wants to study.
At the moment of writing this James is a young person. Please do not let that put you off, he comes across with a good work ethic and moral compass (that can be rare these days…) and has patience along with making the lessons interesting.
If James stays on the path he is traveling, I’ve no doubt he will go far.
My daughter has already learnt more with James than with an online course I initially signed her up for!
